It's been a while!

I keep meaning to update, then I get distracted and I never do. Oh woe is my blog.

Lots of crazy stuff going on, though I doubt much of it is interesting. I have a giant to do list floating around in my head but sadly I can't find it. Bits and pieces keep flowing in and out of my consciousness though.

Thanksgiving was pretty good though I was incredibly tired. Stayed up late-ish making banana cake (which was delicious by the way =] ) and then had to get up early and make the icing as well as the mac and cheese at Richie's sister's house. But all the food was really good and the company is always pleasant so all in all I would say it was a very good Thanksgiving.

Richie's mom made a very cute play doh turkey. Hahaha

SAW AUSTRALIA YESTERDAY!
loved it loved it loved it. Nicole Kidman is my absolute favorite actress. Richie even thought it was good, which is saying something because he never likes the moves I pick. But we both thought it was brilliant. Can't wait to buy the dvd.
AND me and my dad are going to see Changeling in a couple of hours. So many movies. But I'm excited. Father dear and I hardly go out togather =] so it should be fun. The movie looks awesome. I know in real life Angelina Jolie may be a little...special, but I really do think she's a good actress.

Saw my stepsisters today which was really awesome considering I haven't seen them in AGES. Had a lot of catching up to do. But they are both completely awesome and I'm so thankful for their support. It's rare these days to be able to have non-awkward relationships with people you hardly ever see. But I really enjoyed myself. Hope to see them both again soon.

I don't think much else has been going on. Ths weekend Richie and I watched a bunch of Christmas movies which was cute. You would think by looking at him that Richie isn't much of a Christmas guy but he gets more excited about the movies then I do. He's such a cutie pie =] haha But we had a good weekend shopping and relaxing. Bought some CUTE outfits for the little guy. Only about 28 days max to go. Boy does time fly. And we got some more pooh stuff! Poor kid will probably have a pooh complex but that's ok. Pooh's awesome. Enough said.
Anyone want to buy the Pooh record and scrap book for me though? =p

Anywho, my room is a mess and in desperate need of cleaning so I don't think I shall neglect it any longer. I have some pictures though to share later. Who knows when I'll be motivated enough to post them though. Soon soon!

Better Day

Me and Richard got our portraits today. Isn't that wonderful? They are so beautiful I can't stop looking at them. Ha I probably sound like I'm in love with myself but that's ok. They are pretty fantastic, there's no denying it.

That's one of them. But aren't they sweet? I was going to hand some out tomorrow but Richard won't allow me because apparently he feels we must take a tally of what everyone wants and then give them out once we have a record of who's getting what. Goofy, right? But it's cool. I just can't wait to frame all the ones I'm keeping =]

Bought my dear little one his pooh mobile today. I spent my lunch money for the rest of the week to get it too. But it is cute and completely worth it.

minus the mobile of course...but who doesn't love pooh?

Anyway, nothing exciting really. Still thinking a lot. Maybe I'll share something profound in a few days.
I'm pleased. =]

blank

I hate everything today.
I am angry, I am hurt, I am lonely.
And I feel like the biggest idiot that has ever walked the planet.
All I want is to heard and understood.
And that, I fear, will never be possible.

Can I just say that...

This is probably going to sound a bit stupid and high school, but I can't help it. Some things just get under my skin.
It bothers me when girls around 15-20 years old start dating someone and fall in love in about .232 seconds. It's like a week after they start "going out" they are head over heels and they know they're gonna get married and this is the one and on and on it goes. I'm sorry but I don't believe in "love at first sight." You can not truely say you love someone until you know them and trust them with a very deep part of yourself and I don't think you can really know someone after only a week of dating.
And you might think "well duh, everyone knows that." But I guess it just bothers me because it's people like that that make it impossible for adults to take "young love" seriously.
Here's an example. A girl I used to school with started dating some guy a little over a year ago. I don't know his name but we'll call him Joe. She absolutely loved Joe and put kissy pictures of the two of them everywhere and had his name in hearts all over her webpages and would make bulletins everyday saying how much she loved him and how they were going to be together forever. I think they were both 18 at the time. Did it get a little obnoxious all the cutesy pictures and messages? Yeah I guess. But I thought maybe she was truely in love with him and wanted to share that with people. I believe Joe bought her a "promise ring" to say that one day they would get married. All that was fine and everything..but recently I learned that they've broken up after dating for only a year and a couple months. Now Joe is nowhere to be seen but some other kid has taken his place. And they've only been going out for 7 days! One week people. And she got over Joe the love of her life in less than 4 days before moving on. Now this new kid is plastered all over the place and all up in hearts and kissy pictures are everywhere and UH it bothers me. I guess I just think love is just so perfect and so special that I hate when people throw the word around.
"Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love." 1 John 4:7-8
I know God loves me no matter how much I may disappoint Him. God's love is without measure and cannot be comprehended. Yet we get to share a little piece of love with one other special person and I want people to use that word wisely because it is a powerful word with a powerful meaning. Telling someone you love them one day and taking it back the next just isn't giving love the true justice it deserves.
But anyway, I guess I just don't like how young people make other young people who are serious about their relationships look bad. It sets the stage for everyone to think that you can't fall in love until you are a certain age and I don't agree with that. If you fall in love at fifteen and feel the same way after a couple years of dating then by all means, go for it. But don't tell me you want to get married after a couple months...then I'm going to laugh at you.

I feel like I haven't accomplished anything today - lots of homework to do. But it makes me feel better to get this off my chest.

Hello world!

I decided a long time ago that I love blogs, but sadly myspace had consumed my life for so long that I couldn't break away from it. (Pathetic, I know.) I don't know if I'll have anything profound to say or anything funny to share, but I want to be free to write what I want - when I want. I like discussing things and sharing thoughts so maybe we can chat =]

It's late right now. I'll start some serious blogging later.
